When God calls the stars they answer, “Here we are” (Bar 3:35), or Job says, “You send forth the lightnings and they say ‘Here we are’ ” (Job 38:35). It is the cry of the whole world in that harmony which we all so deeply long for. But it is never static, for that is not in Benedict’s vocabulary.
